Hikes in the Mount Elgon Region
Each term, Hawthorne-Scribner High School organises hikes in the Mount Elgon area for students. Set against the dramatic landscape of one of Uganda’s most iconic mountains, these outings take learning beyond the classroom walls and into the natural world right on our doorstep.

Every hike is supervised and organised with student safety as the top priority, giving learners a chance to explore Mount Elgon’s trails and scenery as part of a supportive school community.
