Brief background of AAH Uganda
Arlington Academy of Hope Uganda was incorporated in Bududa District, Eastern Uganda in 2004 as a non-profit organization with the aim of providing affordable quality primary education to the community. Its registered under registration number 3465 with the National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organizations in Uganda. Arlington Academy of Hope Uganda implements programs in Uganda in partnership with REACH for Uganda (formerly Arlington Academy of Hope USA), also a non-profit organization based in Arlington, Virginia in USA.
Since inception, Arlington Academy of Hope Uganda and REACH for Uganda have established a model school in Bududa District known as Arlington Junior School that has delivered and continues to deliver high quality primary education centered on three pillars namely: academics, behavior and character. The high standards we have set for our education programs are designed to produce future’s leaders for our country who are vastly knowledgeable, technologically proficient, with high integrity and character, and who know how to build partnerships that can take our country forward.
The Junior School excelled at its first sitting for Primary Leaving Education (PLE) exams in 2009 in the District with most of its’ pupils passing in division one. The school produced an outstanding performance of 97.1% first grade in the national PLE exams 2023.
